- My 2 cents is that the cheaper the modem, the less the v.34 stuff is ON CHIP.
- It won't do anyone much good to run yet another driver to operate the
- modem at it's advertised speed.

- A certain chip manufacturer makes the guts for most of these cheapos...
- and it shows in the performance. Take it from me, an unhappy customer.
- Well ok it's stable, but slow, and doesn't do its v.34 stuff in Windoze,
- or in DOS software other than the junk that came bundled with the modem.
